AAUW LOCAL MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Who Can Join?

AAUW membership consists of individual and college/university members.

If you hold an associate’s or equivalent, bachelors, or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university, you can join AAUW as an individual (member-at-large) or as a member of one of AAUW’s 1,300 branches. Branch members also belong to the national organization.

If you are undergraduate in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institutions, you can join as a student affiliate of a branch or a student-affiliate-at-large.

Qualified institutions are educational institutions that offer recognized associate, baccalaureate, or higher degrees and that have full regional accreditation (including two-year or community colleges) or appropriate professional association approval.

AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.

General Meetings

Membership & guest meetings are held five times during the year.

Interest Groups

Members are invited to participate in any or all interest group and/or Branch Projects during the year. Become acquainted with members who share your interests.

Help Your Leadership Team

Volunteer your time and talent to assist in various ESGV Branch activities. The Branch functions best with enthusiastically involved members who bring a commitment and energy to all our meetings and projects.

AAUW ESGV Branch

The dues partly defray costs of programs and projects throughout the year. The monthly newsletter, THE TWIG, is delivered in printed form for members without e-mail and sent electronically through email. The Branch Directory is provided each year.

AAUW Funds

Donations are collected annually from members for Fellowships, Grants, Community Projects, and Research Projects.  These are awarded from the National Headquarters to students seeking a higher degree in education or to innovative teachers/researchers who have developed programs that assist in Breaking Through Barriers for Women and Girls.
